Lauren Sack, LMSW, LSCSW

I am so glad you are here. I know life can be difficult, challenging and isolating at times. That is why my goal is to join you in your therapy journey as an empathetic, supportive and safe therapist. My intention is to show up to sessions as an engaged, active, and present listener. While I hope that you feel heard in sessions, I also hope that you leave feeling empowered with tools that you can take with you. I work hard to collaborate with the individuals, couples and families that I see and give opportunity to build skills that can be utilized outside of sessions.

I primarily specialize in anxiety and depressive disorders, PTSD, trauma recovery, and life transitions. Although I specialize in these areas, I also have a wide berth of experience working with borderline personality disorder, geriatric population, relational dysfunction, ADHD, addiction, marriage and family therapy, veteran care, divorce, codependency, and many others. I utilize Accelerated Resolution Therapy (similar to EMDR) to treat many different issues. I find that it is a hugely beneficial treatment for individuals with PTSD and other trauma related disorders. I also integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy into my practice in order to adequately challenge negative thinking patterns and build strong, positive neural pathways. I enjoy utilizing DBT and other skill based interventions in order to provide you with tools for your toolbox. Additionally, I draw upon many other interventions in order to support you in your healing journey.

It takes time to build trust and rapport between a client and their therapist. Know that we will walk at your pace, while also working hard to build resilience and tolerance around difficult emotions. It would be an honor to walk this journey called life with you.

I'm always looking for new patients.

Let's connect.
